Leeds, UK. 28th August, 2017. The 50th Leeds West Indian Carnival at Potternewton Park. The carnival was the first in the UK, in 1967, to incorporate all three essential elements of authentic West Indian carnival – costumes, music and a masquerade procession – it is Europe’s longest running Caribbean carnival parade. The event incorporates a colourful procession through the streets, a live music stage and street food and is geared towards all ages and cultures. Photo Bailey-Cooper Photography/Alamy Live News
