A mixed flock of several thousand migratory bird species stop off to feed up on mountain ash and hawthorn berries near the Elan Valley. the flock was made up of Mainly Fieldfare [Turdus pilaris] with some redwing [Turdus iliacus], mistle thrush [Turdus viscivorus] and also some starlings [Sturnus vulgaris].
