8-year-old Max joins the climate strike. Thousands of pupils from schools, colleges and universities walk out from lessons to protest in Westminster as part of the Youth Strike 4 Climate / Fridays For Future nationwide climate change action. Students in 60 cities from the West Country to Scotland joined the protest, urging the government to declare a climate emergency and take action over the problem. They are keen that the national curriculum is reformed and the environmental crisis is communicated to the public. Similar strikes have taken place in Australia and in European countries such as Belgium and Sweden - inspired by Swedish teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg. London, UK.
