A closeup of a London, Chatham and Dover Railway sign on the south end of a partially removed railroad bridge. The bridge used to serve the London, Chatham and Dover Railway. whose insignia is still preserved at the southeast corner of Blackfriars Bridge. The 1894 on the iron insignia refers to the year if the opening in 1864 of Blackfriars Bridge Railway Station on the line from Kent that continued on to the newly built Farringdon Station.
