A protest which closed the HSBC in Oxford St was part of an international campaign calling on this and other banks to end compliance with US sanctions on Cuba which illegally obstruct financial transactions from UK and other bank accounts and has stopped humanitarian aid to Cuba to deal with the Covid crisis. Trump imposed an additional 240 measures against Cuba and Biden has added more, affecting food and medicine production and health provision.
