Today's large cruise liners are like floating cities, with all the amenities and problems that entails. Staid British lines aside, they also tend towards a homogeneous generic style; let us call it 'Post-Vegas' - make it glitzy, add some more glitz for luck, plus lashings of marble and spotlights. The results tend towards over-the-top, but can be exciting, if a tad exhausting. Take this totally glammed-up main atrium, for instance. But then I got adventurous and turned it into something more colourful and abstract, using a combination of Photoshop techniques including image folding, rotation, multi-layer blending, transformations and gradient mapping. I hope you like it!
