The island of St Martin's in the Isles of Scilly archipelago is only two miles long but has some of the finest beaches in the UK with white and golden sand. There are also beautiful coastal and inland walks with stunning views and the chance to appreciate swathes of wild flowers and the many visiting birds. Points of interest include the historic giant red and and white striped Daymark constructed in 1683 to aid navigation.
