The ship (built in 1926) of the Dutch Steamvaart Mijoceen, was attacked on 16 August 1940 and damaged by a German U-boat [U-46]. On April 11, 1941, the ship (commanded by Captain Jacob Kool) was attacked again by a U-boat [U-124] but managed to escape.
