Montreal, Canada, 7 August 2023: At 3.40 am this morning officers were called to attend after the shooting of a 28-year old man in downtown Montreal. The victim suffered multiple bullet wounds and later died in hospital. Bullet cases were recovered at the scene and police forensics teams and officers closed off Ave Ste Catherine and the surrounded streets all day. The victim, named locally as going by the name Steady, is thought to have been associated with a local street gang involved in fraud and illegal drugs. It is the 19th homicide in Montreal so far in 2023. Anna Watson/Alamy Live News.
