MPs baby daughter christened in house of Commons crypt. Baby daughter of Mr Somerset Maxwell, MP for the Kings Lynn division of Norfolk, and Mrs Maxwell was christened in the crypt Chapel of the House of Commons. The baby was given the original name of Sheelin, after a lough in Ireland, near Farnham, and Mr John Bingham, son of Lord Lucan, were the babies godfathers. Photo shows, Mr Somerset Maxwell, MP, and Mrs Maxwell with the baby leaving their London home for the christening. With them is their four-year-old son Simon. 24 January 1938
