The camp was originally designed for 3, 000 residents and eventually swelled to 13, 000 at the time a fired destroyed 99% of it. Germans are demanding a long-term solution to the politics of Europe that led to the creation of the camp and immediate evacuations saying “wir haben platz†(“we have spaceâ€).
