This year’s 35th. annual Dominican Day Parade in midtown Manhattan honored NYPD Officer Miosotis Familia, who was killed in the line of duty in the Bronx last month . The thousands who gathered to display Dominican pride witnessed the city honor the slain officer with a posthumous lifetime service award.
