Overlooking the Phuentsholing town, Kharbandi Gompa with its vibrant color gleams atop, it offers a panoramic vista of Bhutan's hills and Indian Plains. Phuentsholing is situated in the western part of Bhutan and about 250 kilometers from Thimphu. It is a small and beautiful town. The Kharbandi Goenpa is one of the popular landmark in Phuentsholing. It was built in 1967 by the Royal Grandmother, Ashi Phuntsho Choedron.
