People participate in the Summer Streets program free of car traffic starting at City Hall and along Centre Street and Park Avenue till Harlem. The program includes various physical activities for all ages: Biking, walking and skating along the street free of traffic. At rest stops people can drink water, repair bicycles, rest using hammocks, play for kids, receive free helmets provided by the Department of transportation, free food and drinks samples, and many more.
