Orsolino originally for beautify the Ponte Reale (Royal Bridge). The fountain was inaugurated in 1646 and later embellished with a winged fame that plays the marine niche, the work of Jacopo Garvo. In 1861, the monument was moved to Piazza Colombo, after a special municipal decision. The group is composed in the lower part of four dolphins and in the upper of four interlaced caryatids which also raise at the top a large marble cup from whose center rises a winged fame that sounds the marine niche.
