Picture dated February 1st shows trains stacked up in sidings in Ely, Cambridgeshire, today (Wed) as national strikes by rail workers continue this week. Today has been dubbed “Walkout Wednesday” as thousands of train drivers, border force staff and teachers go on strike. It is the biggest day of strikes in over a decade, with 500, 000 public sector workers striking. Many commuters will be forced to work from home with 15 train operators running zero trains today and Friday in the walkout by both Aslef and RMT unions over pay, job security and conditions.
