Picture dated Nov 14th shows the Amazon fulfilment centre in Peterborough, Cambs, as it prepares for Black Friday. Staff are working around the clock as they prepare hundreds of thousands of Black Friday orders this week. Workers at the Peterborough fulfilment centre in Cambridgeshire are busy picking and packing products for customers, who are making the most of the Black Friday discounts. The 550, 000 square foot building, which is the size of SEVEN football pitches, is made up of four floors in some areas. There are around 1, 000 full-time members of staff, as well as an additional 600 seasonal members, all working to keep the Amazon operation running at its busiest time of year. The centre, which started operations 13 years ago, stocks the smaller items on the Amazon website – nothing bigger than a Monopoly board.
