The play, based on a novel by Jules Verne, will have its premiere in the summer on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the music theater association on the stage at Schladitzer See in Hayna, a remnant of the former open-cast lignite mine, which has been redesigned by then, as part of the Biedermeier Cultural Festival. By the summer, the expanded venue will be Germany's largest covered lake stage for around 1, 000 spectators and a Biedermeier village. The unique cultural venue, which is now being expanded at a cost of 1.5 million euros with the support of the Lusatian and Central German Mining Company (LMBV) and cultural area funds, is oriented in terms of content to the historical era of Biedermeier around the time from 1815 to 1848.
