Born in the small town in Vogtland, Roßner saved the lives of several Jews during the Nazi era by hiding them or enabling them to escape as the fiduciary manager of a textile factory in Poland. The Gestapo found out about his activities and arrested him. He died 80 years ago in December 1943 in prison in what is now Sosnowiec.
