Reading, UK. 15th March 2019. School children take time off school as part of the International Youth Climate Strike campaign. They marched through the centre of Reading as part of the global campaign against climate change inspired by the climate activism of the 16 year old Swedish schoolgirl, Greta Thunberg. They are protesting to urge government to take immediate action against Global Warming. Reading Borough Council is one of over forty in the UK who have declared a Climate Emergency, aiming to become carbon neutral by 2030 subject to essential policy changes by national government.
