In religious matters he had the advantage of a good earlytraining and at the time of his marriage was a member of theSecond Congregational church. Later, however, when he re-moved his residence to the east side of the river, without re-moving his membership, he was a constant worshiper at theFirst Congregational church, where his wife was a member, upto the time of his death. He was also a member of the local Ma-sonic fraternity and of the L. H. D. Crane Grand Army post.He died at his home in Beloit in the sixty-seventh year of his. HAMILTON RICHARDSON. BIOGEAPHICAL 819 age on August 14, 1903, and the church, the Masonic order andthe Grand Army post united in paying their respect to one theyall sincerely loved. His beloved wife followed him on October4 of the following year. Robert H. Clinchy, of 936 Harrison avenue, Beloit, Wis., isa native son of this place, born on June 4, 1852, to John and Anne(Henry) Clinchy, who left their home in Ireland in 1845 andcame to Wisconsin and bought a farm six miles northwest ofBeloit, where they made their home until 1872, when the fatherretired from active life and resided in his city home until thetime of his death, which occurred in 1898 at the age of seventy-nine years. Mother Clinchy died in 1886 at the age of seventy-one years. They were very worthy and industrious people andare still well remembered by the older residents of the count
