The Basque coastal resort of Donostia-San Sebastian is built around the Bahia de La Concha (Half Moon Bay) a beautiful crescent shaped beach which is considered to be one of the best city beaches in Europe. Donostia-San Sebastian is surrounded by the green mountains and hills of Gipuzcoa province and is only a short car journey away from the Spanish-French border. The local Basques refer to Donostia-San Sebastian as Donosti.
