September 17, 2021: Actress JANE POWELL, the star of some of Hollywood's best-loved Golden Age musicals, has died at the age of 92. Powell died Thursday at her home in Wilton, Connecticut, her friend Susan Granger told CNN on Friday. A megastar of musical films of the 1940s and '50s, Powell's hits included 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers' opposite Howard Keel, and 'Royal Wedding,' in which she starred alongside F.
