Soldiers from the New York City Recruiting Battalion set off on the 14th Annual Stephen Siller Tunnel to towers Foundation Run in New York City Sept. 27. The run pays homage to NYC firefighter Stephen Siller who, on Sept. 11, 2001, ran from the Brooklyn entrance of the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Center site in Manhattan in full gear in order to provide assistance to victims of the WTC attacks. Siller lost his life when the towers collapsed.
