This image was taken on the South Downs way in grassy hilly areas on a thistle. Under close detailed scrutiny with magnifying glass and a reference book the match was a High Brown fritillary. The description was scarce and rather endangered. The black markings with enlarged image along the rear border was exactly the same as the book.
