A male member of the Toda tribe, one of India's Scheduled Tribes, wears one of the handwoven cloaks for which the Toda are these days renowned. The man belongs to the Toda tribal group who live in a settlement known as a Mund within the Botanical Garden at the Indian hillstation of Ooty. The Toda tribe is believed to have Greek ancestors who settled in the Nilgiri Mountains.
