This powerful telescope is one of a number set up in Dodd Wood facing the nest of a pair of ospreys in Bassenthwaite in the English Lake District. The site is run by the Ospreywatch Project in conjunction with the RSPB, the Forrestry Commission and The Lake District National Park. Visitors can use these telescopes to observe the birds. Members of staff are on hand to up-date visitors as to what's happening witht eh ospreys and to discuss birding matters in general.
