Town of Trona is located in Mojave desert in California. It is a company town for Searles Valley Minerals (formely IMC Chemicals) that extracts a variety of minerals from the nearby Searles Dry lake. As of Apr 2007 the town has many abandoned structures and buildings, it looks very run down, apparently it had better days in the past.
