Iles Chausey, Normandy, FranceMore information:
Iles Chausey are a group of small islands and rocks in the English Channel (la Manche) off the coast of Normandy, France, similar geographically to the UK Channel Islands but coming under French jurisdiction as part of the Manche département. The extraordinary tidal range in these parts - more than 10 metres or 33ft - means huge areas of rock cover and uncover with the tide. Navigation is tricky but there are safe moorings within the central channel through the islands.
