British Army snatch squad in Basra, (l-r) Lance Corporal Richard Watson, 23, of Rawdon, Leeds; Fusilier Nicky Jones, 20, of Amble, Northumberland; Lance Corporal Paul Gerrard, 25, from Rugby; Sergeant Ed Rutherford, 26, of Hexham, Northumberland; *..Lance Corporal Mark Lockhart, 23, of Brunswick, Newcastle; Military Police Corporal Russ Harrison, 31, of Montrose, Scotland; Corporal Harry Harrington, 28, of Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. The squad told how they seized three suspect militia men in a dramatic dawn raid - in just 25 seconds. The team crept up on the building in semi-darkness before storming in at first light, holding their suspects at gunpoint while searching for weapons. It was one of a series of dawn raids launched on the homes of men suspected to have been former henchmen of the Saddam Hussein regime.
