Photograph of the original handwritten illustrated manuscript held at the British Library, London. The photograph of Alice Liddell was taken by Lewis Carroll himself. In 1977 during examination it was discovered it had been stuck over a hand drawn image of Alice Liddell and then carefully removed and added to the additional flap so the viewing of both was made possible.
