More information:

Galvano-Magnetic Clock at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, London. Made and installed by Charles Shepherd in 1852, built with a slave mechanism controlled by electrical pulses sent from a master clock from within the Royal Observatory itself. The clock face displays a full 24 hour clock dial and is probably the first clock to display Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
