Sheep live happy lives and are outdoors all summer. In Norway this can be quite some time during the light summer. The sheep mother, or ewe wears a bell, mostly because the sheep are easier to retrieve when you can hear where they are, but also her lambs follow the sound. When the lambs run with the ewe, they keep feeding off their mother until they're 25 - 30 kg or for a period of 10 weeks. This ensures their strength and ability to become good and strong mothers.
