Heavily modified and customised Australian Holden Commodore on display at an outdoors Aussie car show. 1980s model Commodores like this example continue to have a cult following in Australian enthusiast and drag racing circles. Easy and cheap to acquire, they can be turned into a cost effective and high performance package thanks to a smörgåsbord of parts available through a massive after market accessory network. The original V8 engines are well represented in terms of parts and expertise too, with a number of Australian specialist companies rebuilding and manufacturing parts specifically for these engines. Many of these cars, as can be seen here, are also finished off with stunning paint jobs and matching wheel packages.
