Image shows a small part of a large mural entitled " La Usurpación del Boliviano " by Bolivian artist Gonz Jove. I can get reproduction permission from the artist if needed, please credit him if you license the image for editorial use. Mural shows various scenes about the exploitation of Bolivia's natural resources by foreigners. This section of the mural depicts scenes about the Spanish exploitation of natives in the silver mines in Potosi in the colonial period. It also shows part of the famous Casa de La Moneda / Royal Mint building (now a museum) and machinery. The lady begging comes from the rural Potosi region; her ancestors probably worked in the mines.
