The annual lighting of the Trafalgar Square Christmas Tree took place today hosted by the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Cllr Audrey Lewis, who invited the Governing Mayor of Oslo to turn on the Christmas lights. The tree is donated by the City of Oslo to the people of London each year as a token of gratitude for Britain’s support during the Second World War.
