The Maritime Baths (Regio III, Insula VIII, 2) were constructed c. 130 AD in opus mixtum. Heated rooms were added around 210 AD in opus latericium. Room D, seen here, was a heated room. It has a mosaic with the face of Oceanus in the center, surrounded by Tritons. The latest modifications to the baths were in the 4th century.
