Members assigned to the 102nd Security Forces Squadron participate in an active shooter exercise on Feb. 10, 2018 at Otis Air National Guard Base, Mass. The exercise was designed to simulate the chaotic nature of a disgruntled person entering a facility on base and opening fire. Airmen from the 102nd SFS responded quickly to the incident and worked together to clear rooms and isolate where the shooter was. The 102nd Intelligence Wing Inspector General team stressed that knowing how to react to situations like active shooters is crucial for all members on base.
