UXO Clearance, Houay Dok Kham village, Xieng Khouang province, Laos.Miss Pheng, 24, is now a supervisor with MAG. She volunteered to take part in clearance of her village after her brother was killed by a 105mm shell that he and some friends had found. She was recently promoted and will keep her job when the village clearance is complete next year. The village was heavily bombed during the Vietnam war and many unexploded devices (UXO) remain in the ground making the land impossible to farm. Now MAG, the UK based mine clearance charity is working with villagers MAG has trained to clear the land.
