Mohammed Mahmud street also nicknamed in arabic as "the street of the eyes of the freedom" is a symbol of the struggle of the egyptian people to build a democratic country one year after the revolution. The walls of the street ( which witnessed some of worst battles between the security forces & the demonstrators ) are a living museum dedicated to all the martyrs fallen during this past year. People from all walks of life come to this street to show their support to an and to the military ruling and a transfer of power to a civilian governement.
