Danny Diaz & the Checkmates in Marble Arch, London, during their world trip which they won in the biggest beat contest to be organised in the Far East. They also won $10, 000 and a recording contract with Trend Records London for winning Hong Kong's Battle of the Sounds contest. They are (l-r) Rudi Diaz, Danny Diaz, Doming Tantengio and Romeo Diaz.
