nest of the red-eyed Vireo, Vireo olivaceus. The vireo egg is white with a few speckles. The other egg has been put there by the nest parasite, the brown cowbird, (Molothrus ater). The female bird builds a nest of bark, grass, spider webs and other plant materials suspended in the fork of a horizontal branch.
