At the South Street Seaport.Though it had been called life-threatening, the onset of Winter Storm Juno proved less dangerous for New Yorkers than anticipated on January 26 and 27, 2015. On Tuesday, the Manhattan's Financial District was coated with a thin layer of powder, photographed above on Fulton Street, at the South Street Seaport, and Nassau Street.Roughly 28 inches of accumulation were documented on Long Island; about 8 inches in Central Park; and 11 inches at LaGuardia airport, according to The Weather Channel.Massachusetts saw the snow piling high, with parts of Framingham getting up to 30 inches, and Boston, just over 20 inches. A near-100-foot stretch of the Green Harbor seawall in Marshfield has also collapsed, causing flooding that damaged several nearby homes.New England may continue to get heavy snow throughout Tuesday, with the potential for light snow in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
