Security has been increased at refinerys across the USA after possible terror threats announced by the US Department of Homeland Security. Other U.S. refiners said they were operating at the heightened security levels they adopted after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington. Also with Kyoto protocol US and Australia have not joined the treaty to fight global warming.
