Our Lady Queen of Angels Church (Iglesia Nuestra Señora Reina de los Angeles) in the downtown area of Olvera Street in Los Angeles, California. Olvera Street is the birthplace of the City of Los Angeles, otherwise known as El Pueblo Historic Monument. La Placita Olvera (where the church is situated) was also known as Sonora Town circa 1911. This area is the oldest part of downtown LA and was designated as a California State Historic Landmark in 1953.
