OVERSEAS USE ONLY: Trooper Jason Dixon manning a Minimi light machine gun from Bravo Company, the Black Watch Battle group in the foward operating base "Springfield" on the east bank of the Euphrates river, 25 miles south of Baghdad. A Black Watch soldier was injured today in a mortar attack on the Camp Dogwood base, the Ministry of Defence confirmed today. The MoD said the injuries were not thought to be life-threatening. "A mortar landed inside the compound earlier today, injuring a soldier," said a spokesman. "We do not believe the soldier has life-threatening injuries."
