This pair of brahminy kites (Haliastur indus) made their nest at the Queensland coastal city of Hervey Bay with help from humans who had created a wooden platform high on a power pole, close to the ocean, on which the birds could build their nest of sticks, Two chicks were present in the nest, and the bird on the right in this image had just arrived with fish to feed its young.
