The hangar of the Dornier Flugzeugwerke (Dornier Aircraft Manufacturer) in Friedrichshafen in 1938. The Dornier Do 26 flying boats were built right here starting in 1937. These flying boats served as the aircrafts for transatlantic flights of the German Wehrmacht. The Nazi Propaganda! on the back of the picture is dated 1938: "The birthplace of the transatlantic flying boat Dornier Do 26. While the flying boat Do 26 'Seefalke' (Sea Falcon) is lubricated, the flying boat 'Seeadler' (Sea Eagle) roars over the hangar." Fotoarchiv für Zeitgeschichte
