The Windsor Mansion was built in 1859 to 1861 by Smith Coffee Daniell II. It is located near Port Gibson, Mississippi just off the Natchez trace. It burned down February 17, 1890. During the civil war it was used as an observation point by the Confederates and later as a hospital by the Union forces. Twenty three of the columns still remain standing today.
