The Rundetaarn (The Round Tower), Kobmagergade, in Copenhagen city centre, Denmark. The 34.8m high tower was built between 1637 and 1642 with an observatory on top for astronomers at Copenhagen Univesity. It is Europe's oldest functioning observatory. The building also houses a planetarium and has a viewing platform on top open to the public.
